As we realize that the loss of a loved one can be an extremely challenging time, we at Our Lady of Knock Parish hope to provide whatever assistance we can to all those experiencing such loss. Through conversations, meetings, and prayer, we hope to provide support and guidance to those in need.

If you or your family have lost a loved one and would like to reach out to a priest for guidance, you or a representative from the funeral home you are working with can contact the church at which you are interested in having the Funeral Mass in order to clarify details, to set up a meeting, or simply to begin a conversation.

PLANNING BOOKLET

If you will be having the Funeral Mass of a loved one at one of our churches, we invite you to CLICK HERE and look through our Order of Christian Funerals Planning Booklet. This booklet can assist you in your process of planning, providing guidance regarding choices about readings, music, and the participation of family members at the Mass so that you and your family can have a truly fitting and prayerful service for your loved one.
 

FUNERAL PROGRAM TEMPLATE

If your family desires, you may make a program for handing out to attendees at your loved one's Funeral. While our parishes do not print programs for the Funerals being held at our churches, your family is certainly welcome to do so. This can be done using a design that you have created, or if you need some assistance, we invite you to utilize our Funeral Program Template. This template provides an outline of the Funeral Mass and requires the designer to only fill in a few specific details regarding your loved one's Funeral liturgy. The template can be downloaded as a WORD DOCUMENT (.docx) or as a PUBLISHER DOCUMENT (.pub) by clicking the corresponding link. If you have any questions regarding Funeral programs, the template, or anything regarding the loss of your loved one, please do not hesitate to contact either of our Parish Offices for assistance.
 

FUNERAL MUSIC

In preparing for the Funeral Mass of your loved one, we offer you the opportunity to choose the music that will be used throughout the liturgy. These choices can be made by making selections from the lists provided in the Order of Christian Funerals Planning Booklet. While we have chosen those selections in a particular way to complement to emotions and solemnity of a Funeral Mass, we do remain open to special requests and the use of songs not provided in our. If you have questions regarding the music for the liturgy, the possibility of using guest musicians, or would like to make a certain request, we simply ask that you contact the Parish Office and speak with the priest who will be celebrating the liturgy to discuss this.
